The following documentation must be provided for an applicant(s) to be considered for the CDHFH Homeownership program. Submit all documents listed on the checklist in addition to the completed application forms to the address below. Be sure to send copies when noted; originals will may not be returned. Application Checklist for applicant(s):

  • Currently live and/or work in Kent County, DE for at least one year
  • Attend a Homeownership Program Orientation
  • Completed CDHFH Application Forms
  • Paystubs and/or income statements for last three months for all applicants
  • Previous two years of tax forms or transcripts and corresponding W2’s for all applicants
  • Government-issued photo identification and social security card for all household members
  • Are you a first-time homebuyer?
  • Did you or anybody in your household serve or is currently serving in the military?
  • We will request $25 for each applicant ($50 for co-applicants) for a credit check after meeting with a CDHFH Homeownership representative.
