Volunteers are the heart of Central Delaware Habitat for Humanity and we need your help more than ever. Whether you have never picked up a hammer before or do so every day, you can make an impact by volunteering with us. Learn new skills, meet new friends and make a difference in your community.
Each year, hundreds of people from churches, corporations, schools and civic groups come to build with us and learn more about how to help build affordable housing, develop stronger communities, and create hope among so many in Kent County, Delaware.
Ask Central Delaware Habitat for Humanity volunteers about why they volunteer and you’ll frequently get as many answers as there are, well, volunteers.
“I’m glad to be part of an organization that cares about doing something,” one volunteer has said. “But it means a lot to me personally to help somebody in need. It’s a chance to do a good deed, and I’ve seen neighborhoods here in Kent County that need good deeds. I hope we can get more people to do this after they see the results we have here.”
Volunteers — of all different ages and backgrounds — are essential to our mission of eliminating poverty housing in Kent County. Through the compassion and hard work of our volunteers, Lives are being changed every day!
