Homeownership Orientations
Homeownership Orientations are 5:30 – 7 p.m. at the CDHFH ReStore. LIMITED space is available. Registration is required. Please RSVP to Maria at (302) 526-2366 ext. 106 for in-person or click the link below for the date you would like to register for Zoom.

The following documentation must be provided for an applicant(s) to be considered for the CDHFH Homeownership program. Submit all documents listed on the checklist in addition to the completed application forms to the address below. Be sure to send copies when noted; originals will may not be returned. Application Checklist for applicant(s):
- Currently live and/or work in Kent County, DE, for the past 12 consecutive months
- Attend a Homeownership Program Orientation
- Completed CDHFH Application Forms
- Paystubs and/or income statements for last three months for all adult household members
- Previous two years of tax forms or transcripts and corresponding W2’s for all adult household members
- Government-issued photo identification and social security card for all applicants
- Are you a first-time homebuyer?
- Did you or anybody in your household serve or is currently serving in the military?
- We will request $25 for each applicant ($50 for co-applicants) for a credit check after meeting with a CDHFH Homeownership representative. Please do NOT send this fee until it is requested.
