From church and youth groups to company members, group volunteers are always welcomed here at Central Delaware Habitat for Humanity. Group Building provides a space to bond with team members while simultaneously giving back to the community and improving the quality of a family’s life.
What to Expect
- You’ll be working side by side with other volunteers and the partner family (who contribute hundreds of hours of sweat equity toward their new home). All tools, equipment, and instruction needed are provided by our site supervisor.
- Volunteers do not need to stay the entire day. We do encourage volunteers to contribute an entire day’s work so we can reach our aimed goals, but know that outside circumstances often limit one’s ability to do so.
Requirements
- No experience necessary!
- Volunteers must be at least 17 years of age
- Volunteers under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian sign their Application and Liability Waiver
- Wear closed-toed shoes
- Activewear / workout clothing is advised
Hours
- Wednesday and Saturday: 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
- Thursday and Friday are available dependent on group size.
