Obtaining homeownership would reward the Whitehurst Family with the much-needed space to provide long-term stability and personal control, strengthen their passions, focus on their education and build their futures.
Her journey in our homeownership program will conclude with a 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom home that she and her family get to call their own. This will be our 95th home since 1990, but this will be the first forever home for Len. Help us make this moment special by turning faith into action.

How to show your support by turning faith into action:
Homeowner church presentation Invite Len to speak and present at your church/congregation as a way to inspire and give people a first-hand impression of why their support is important.
Organize on-site volunteer days (Wednesdays and Saturdays) Support the construction crew by inviting a group of up to 8 participants on the build site. Congregations who sign up are also encouraged to provide lunch for the crew.
Make a financial contribution or create a fundraiserOur goal of $32,000 is needed to supplement the gap between building costs and final appraisal value.

Organize fundraising activities Get creative with your groups, dedicate a percentage of received donations towards the homeowner, initiate a drive or an engaging activity to gain support.
Create a welcome basket for the new homeowner Provide a housewarming or useful gift to help our homeowners navigate through the independence of being a first-time homeowner.
Participate in wall-raising and dedication ceremonies Help us celebrate the milestones our homeowners worked so hard towards by attending scheduled ceremonies. All participants will be notified of all ceremonies.
