Guidelines
Must be at least 16 years of age at the time of application submission.
CDHFH does not accept community service inquiries including the following:
➢ Any felony offenses
➢ Any form of theft or robbery
➢ Any form of violence or assault
➢ Any sexual offenses
❖ STEP 1: When filling out the Volunteer Application & Waiver, please select Court-Ordered Community Service under ‘Reason for Volunteering’.
❖ STEP 2: A screening fee of $25 is applied to cover the costs of your background check. You will be required to pay this fee ONLY after you have received an approval email. This fee is non-negotiable and non-refundable upon approval.
❖ STEP 3: You will receive a request to submit a background check via email. Once submitted, the results for the background check take up to 1 business day to return.
❖ STEP 4: Upon the return of our background check, you will receive a final email to schedule an orientation meeting at the ReStore prior to beginning your service hours.
Once all of these steps are completed, you have been approved to complete your community service with CDHFH.
Central Delaware Habitat for Humanity and the ReStore Management Team reserves the right to deny any volunteer or terminate an existing volunteer at any time.
